The Forgotten War

There are many battles and wars of different scales that have been forgotten or not even heard of in this life. No matter how big or small or how unimportant it may be, if lives were lost, taken or given it makes it worth talking about as well as knowing.

This is a war that has been placed in the back shelf by the Second World War and The start of the Cold War. This is the Korean war that has taken place on 25th June 1950. Many historians say that this is also a war that has to lead up to the Vietnamese war as they have been influenced by the Koreans because of this war. A war that has made a country split up because of different social-political influence from the 2 great powers at the time, The United States of America and the Soviet Union. This event is what intensified the Cold War towards the nuclear influence it had towards the 1960s.

The Northside was influenced by the Soviet Union which lead to turn that side of the country into a communist regime. Many Histories argue that it wasn’t the Soviets who actually had the primary influence but the Chinese. The Southside has been influenced by the Americas with a capitalist mindset that was actually good for them and this political system was to affect them in a positive manner until the hate that they have for communism and vice versa has sunk in.
