1825, a French infantry officer by the name of Henri Gustave Delvigne has seen that there was a need for a different weapon that would start a totally new era of warfare. He wanted something to utilize the devastating power of the gun powder to it’s fullest potential but, at the same time be small enough to carry around with ease.
